ALNA - George Brann Cote, aged 46, died unexpectedly at home on Thursday, November 6, 2025. Born in Bangor, Maine on July 14, 1979, George spent much of his life in the beautiful state of Maine, living in Gardiner before moving to his final residence in Alna. George held a deep love for his home state, a sentiment that was reflected in his chosen profession as a self-employed carpenter. His work allowed him to leave an enduring mark on the communities he called home, contributing to their beauty and charm with his skilled craftsmanship.
George was a man of simple pleasures, finding joy in activities such as fishing, watching football and music. But the true heart of George's life was his family, whom he loved dearly and held at the center of his world. Even as he pursued his career and hobbies, it was always clear that his family was what mattered most to him.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Cote, and stepfather, Robert Z. Walck.
George is survived by his loving mother, Cindy Cote; his cherished children, daughter, Saydi Cote, and two sons Joseph and Joshua Cote; two sisters Brenda, and spouse KJ Marquis and Brandy Cote and spouse Julian Jones. Loved by many more, Zachary Cote, Tyler Canney, Taylor Cote and spouse Alyssa Daniel Pelletier, Jacob Canney, Hiedi Marquis and spouse Ryan Hinkley, Nathaniel Newmann and Stone Cote and several grandchildren and great nieces and nephews.
all of whom he deeply cared for and loved.
In his 46 years, George left a lasting impact on those who were lucky enough to know him. His warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to his family will always be remembered. As we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate the life he lived and the love he shared with those around him.
We encourage those who knew George to share their memories and upload photos to his memorial page at www.staplesfuneralhome.com His life was filled with countless moments of joy, love, and beauty, and every memory shared helps to paint a fuller picture of the man we knew and loved. Your contributions are deeply appreciated.
