George Edward Daudlin Jr.

George Edward Daudlin, Jr. of Grosse Pointe Woods passed away suddenly at home on Monday, August 18th, 2025, at the age of 68.
George was born in Detroit MI on September 21, 1956, to the late George Sr. and Violet Daudlin. A proud 1975 graduate of Austin Catholic Preparatory School in Detroit, George went on to become a devoted account and sales manager at the family-owned Wolverine Oil and Supply. Servicing the Grosse Pointe Municipalities for the past 30 years.
George was a lifeguard at the Grosse Pointe Park Park and an avid boater his entire life. His passion for sailing began at a young age on the family boat kept at the Park and he first cut his teeth racing on crescent sailboats. He was a member of Detroit Yacht Club from 1985 to 2002 and then Bayview Yacht Club since 2002.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Pamela. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Daudlin; his partner in life, Newana Cesarone; and his stepchildren, Chad Cesarone (Lindsay), Scott Cesarone (Elena), and Megan Timmons (Trent); step grandchildren, Dorthea, Rosie, Dominic, Amelia, Jett, Victoria, Piper, Luca, Emma, Harper and Paige: sisters Deborah Snella (Jim) and Mary Kay Gallagher (Dan); his brothers, Kevin (Mary), Dan (Joy), Steve (Suzy), Jeff (Rose); and 15 nieces and nephews.
George was a tough guy but those who knew him, knew he had the biggest heart. His love for his daughter, Jennifer, and his life partner, Newana, and every animal he met, was unmatched. He was the life of the party and unapologetically himself. He will be truly missed by so many.
Visitation will take place on Monday, August 25th from 4-8pm with a prayer service, 7pm, at Chas. Verheyden, Inc., 16300 Mack Ave., Grosse Pointe Park. Funeral Tuesday, August 26th; Instate 9:30am until the time of Mass 10am at St. Clare of Montefalco Catholic Church, 1401 Whittier, Grosse Pointe Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to The Grosse Pointe Animal Adoptions Society (GPAAS)
