Mr. George Edward Finleyson, Jr., age 70, of Hawkinsville, Georgia, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2025 in Madison Heights at the Prado in Macon, Georgia. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2025 in Bembry Cemetery with Rev. Christy Bandy and Rev. Chip Strickland officiating.
Bill was a native of Pulaski County, Georgia and a member of the Hawkinsville First United Methodist Church. His livelihood was sales, selling everything from tractors, furniture and airplanes. He loved working on the farm, building, working in the yards, gardening and especially being with his family. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, George and Alwayne Copeland Finleyson and his grandparents.
Survivors include his wife, Amy Finleyson of Hawkinsville, Georgia; daughter, Elizabeth Conner (Will) of Macon, Georgia; sisters, Beverly Finleyson Anderson of Brunswick, Sandra Woods of Hawkinsville, Georgia; granddaughters, Carlie Beth, Callie Grace and Carrie Ann.
Donations may be made to the Hawkinsville First United Methodist Church: 44 Merritt Street, Hawkinsville, Georgia 31036.
