George 'Skeeter Man' Gardner III
George, age 69, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023. He was a lifelong resident of Albany, LA. George was an outgoing, fun-loving man with a heart of gold. Outdoors in a boat on the river, heading to one of his favorite fishing spots was his favorite thing to do. George enjoyed watching the Saints, and also enjoyed listening to music. He was truly a loving man who is already dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
George is survived by his children, George Gardner IV (Priscilla), Jennifer Gardner Vivoni (John), mother. Sue Bertucci-Elfer, and Kimberly Anzalone; grandchildren, Shelbie Lynn Gardner Henley (Patrick), Katelynn Gardner, Nicolas Gardner, George Hemingway Gardner, Gracie Magnolia Gardner, Ethan Ridgell, and Paige Cook; 5 great-grandchildren; wife, Judy Bankston Gardner; siblings, Kathy Ann Gardner Bergeron (Bob), Danetta Comeaux, Deborah Jean LaMeer (Daryl) Melissa Ann Tarver, Johnny S. Nobles Jr. (Sherry), and David Wayne Gardner (Michelle); along with numerous nieces and nephews.
George is preceded in death by his mother, Janette Nobles, step-father, Johnny Nobles, Sr., father, George Gardner, Jr.; stepmother, Shirley Gardner; daughter, Amanda Gardner (and her mother, Trudy); sister, Candace Ann Gardner Tarver (Paul); sister-in-law, Debbie Nobles; cousin, Stephen 'Hound Dog' Fraisse; and in-laws, Morris and Thelma Bankston, Sr.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation from the Chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 12012 Hwy 190 West, Hammond, LA. on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until the start of the Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m.
