It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of George Patrick Karpinski who died on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Wisconsin Veterans Home at King.
He worked at Patrick Cudahay as a machine operator until he had to retire early due to a back injury. An avid enthusiast of older cars, George found immense joy in attending the Iola Car Show. Among his prized possessions was his cherished '55 Chevy Nomad, which was more than just a vehicle to him; it was a symbol of his love for classic automobiles and the stories they told.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth; wife Barbara; brothers: Mike, John, and Frank. He is survived by his children: David (Lori) and their children Ava and Nathan; Kris (Kristine) and their children Alyssa, Jayda, Lilly, Madisyn, and Tyler; Gene; Carrie; his brother: Tom and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service with military honors at Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery located at N2665 County Road QQ, Waupaca, WI on April 28, 2025 at 11:00 am. There will be a Celebration of Life for George and Barb at a later date.
The Karpinski family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the staff at the Wisconsin Veterans Home and Heartland Hospice for the exceptional care and support they provided during George's final years. Their kindness and dedication brought comfort to both George and his family.
