GAP MILLS, WV – George P. McCullough, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at the Lindside Healthcare Center in Lindside, WV. Born September 30, 1935, in Gap Mills, WV, he was the son of the late Lacy P. and Elsie Crowder McCullough. George worked as a Box Factory Worker in Baltimore and later as a maintenance worker. He loved his animals, spending time outside, and being around people.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Gertie McCullough and Sara King; and two brothers, Johnny McCullough and James "Hoss" McCullough.

Survivors include one son, William "Billy" McCullough; three brothers, Herman McCullough, Claude McCullough, and Leon McCullough and wife Linda; one sister, Janet Truelove; nephews, Randy McCullough, Mark McCullough, John McCullough Jr., David McCullough, Dustin Hersman, Danny King, and Billy King; nieces, Alice Hersman, Arlene McCullough, Dreama Hoke, Annette Bobbitt, Sharon Shaver Ridgeway, and Hillary Hersman; and special great niece, Tisha Bowers.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home in Union, WV, with Pastor Clifford Kuhn officiating. Burial will follow at the Wickline Cemetery in Gap Mills, WV. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM until time of services on Sunday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Lindside Healthcare Center Activity Department, 10797 Seneca Trail South, Lindside, WV 24951 (checks to be made out to: Friends of Silver Ministry).
