George Andrew Morris Jr.

George Andrew Morris Jr., 78, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, at Morristown Medical Center.
Born in Dover, New Jersey, George always cherished Mine Hill, NJ, as his home. It was there he built a life filled with hard work, service, and a deep love for his family and community.
George was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, roles he embraced with pride and quiet strength. Family was his heart, and he found immense joy in watching his family flourish through the years.
After retiring from the Automatic Switch Company, where he was a respected foreman, George continued to shine through his strong work ethic, leadership, and dependability-qualities that defined his entire life.
As a veteran, George lived with a strong sense of duty and sacrifice. This commitment extended to his community through many years of volunteer service with the Mine Hill First Aid Squad, where he selflessly helped his neighbors. He was honored to serve as Captain three times, a reflection of the trust and respect he earned from his fellow volunteers.
George is survived by his wife of 22 years, Marianne Morris; his sons George Morris III (Teresa Morris) and Robbie Morris (Dawn Morris); and his grandchildren Robert Morris (Kaity Morris), Ryan Morris (Fiancé Jenna Blau), Aiden Morris, Ashley Morris, and Alec Morris. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Memorial Service will be held at Tuttle Funeral Home, located at 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph, NJ, on Monday, January 12, 2026. The family will welcome guests from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., and we will have a Celebration of Life Service starting at 3:30 p.m.
George's dedication to service, leadership, and love will continue to inspire his family and all those he touched.
