George Harvey Strayer Jr., 84 of Sebring passed away on July 28, 2025 at Copeland Oaks in Sebring, Ohio. Born Dec 6, 1940 at home in Columbiana County to Evelyn Aida and George Strayer, Sr. He is survived by his sister Neysa Woolf in Columbus, and his daughters Bethann in Michigan and Melissa in Akron. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Sandra Manypenny
George enjoyed traveling, gardening, golf, and loved food (there isn't a single food he didn't like...). He taught his children to seek to understand others, resist rushing to judgment , and to diligently express gratitude for others through letters and small, meaningful gestures.
The family wishes to express its gratitude to the staff at Copeland Oaks for taking care of George in both body and spirit since 2016. Per his request no services will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, Sebring Chapel, www.grfuneralhome.com, (330) 938-2526.
