George Ben Williamson, 81 years of age, of Franklin, N.C. passed away on August 11, 2025. He was born on April 29, 1944 to Lloyd "Teed" Williamson and Beaulah Reeves Williamson, who preceded him in death. he was also preceded in death by sister, Martha Hannah and brothers, Gene Williamson and William Williamson.
He is survived by his wife of 57 yeas, Drucilla Schultz Williamson. His children Tammy Scott (Dennis) of Franklin, Daniel "Hoss" Williamson (Janice) of Kentucky and Laura Radtke (Matthew) of Franklin. He is also survived by a brother, Bobby Joe Williamson (Daisy), and a sister, Pauline Carver. 10 grandchildren: Joseph Luttrell (Ashley), Coty Smith (Ethan), Jonathon Williamson (Ginny), Diamond Burch (Darrin), Daniel Boone Williamson (Rachel), Tyler Carr, Emily Carr, Rachel Carr, Rachel Green (Adam), Makayla Ann Radtke, Ashley Winskey (Cody). 14 great grandchildren: Joshua, Jordan, Jax, and Jet Luttrell; Chandler Williamson, Mason, and Trinity Burch; Tucker Lona, Sydney, and Madi Winskey; Hunter Radtke; Mason Norton, Addie Mae Radtke, Easton George McCurry, and Arianna Green. One great-great grandchild, Marley Williamson.
He was a loving husband and father. He loved his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and was thrilled to become a great-great grandfather. He was an avid hunter and had bear dogs for years until his health declined and he couldn't go after his dogs. that still didn't keep him from hunting from his truck. He enjoyed the time he spent hunting with his buddies. He was much loved and will be truly missed. he left a void in our hearts that can never be filled, but he is resting safely in the arms of the God and has no pain.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Friday, August 15, 2025 at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.
