George F. Zucca, Jr., age 80, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.
Born on July 14, 1943 in Waterbury, George was the son of the late George F. and Elizabeth (Perugini) Zucca, Sr.
George is survived by his former wife Pinki Chillemi of Prospect; his daughters Heather Fogg and her partner Kevin Mezzanotte of Wolcott and Rebecca Cipriano and her husband Giuseppe Cipriano, Jr. of Southbury; and his granddaughters Angelina Cipriano and Francesca Cipriano. He also leaves his brother James Zucca, Sr. of Torrington, his sister-in-law Dolores Malon and her husband John; as well as his nieces and nephews Maryann Hagberg, Kathryn Jack, David Malon, James Zucca, Michael Zucca and Maria Sanchez whom he considered a special "3rd daughter" and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
George's funeral will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 8:30am from Maiorano Funeral Home, 95 Willow St., Waterbury to St. John's Episcopal Church, 16 Church St. for a funeral service at 11:00am. Family and friends can visit with the family from 8:30am -10:30am at the funeral home. Burial will be held on a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in George's name may be made to: St. Jude House, 12490 Marshall St., Crown Point, IN 46307 or online at www.stjudehouse.org. Maiorano Funeral Home has been entrusted with all arrangements.
