Georgeann Arsenault Richardson, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 39. Born on February 14, 1985, in Port Arthur, Texas, Georgeann was a spirited individual whose life was defined by her independence, determination, and kindness.
Georgeann dedicated twenty years of her life as a manager at an apartment complex, demonstrating her commitment to her work and the people she served. Her professional journey was complemented by her strong educational background; she graduated from Bridge City High School in 2003 and later attended Lamar University, where she further enriched her knowledge and skills.
An avid bowler from the age of three, Georgeann found joy in competition and camaraderie, sharing this passion with many friends and family members throughout her life. Her warm heart extended beyond bowling; she cherished her family and friends and had a profound love for animals, particularly her dogs. Those who knew her would describe her as full of life, understanding, and an unwavering support to those around her.
Georgeann is survived by her husband, Aaron Richardson, and their two children, Raylen Aaron Richardson and Arabella Austin Richardson, who reside in Port Neches. She is also survived by her parents, Skipper and Judy Arsenault of Port Arthur, and her brother, Charles Arsenault, along with his wife, Jennifer, and their children Devin Fiesel, Charlotte Arsenault, Austin Arsenault, and Tyler Harrington. Further family connections include her aunts and uncles, Darryl Thibodeaux and his wife Joan, Roland Granger and his wife Anne, and Robert McCorvy and his wife Jean. Georgeann also leaves behind her best friend, Kelly Sheappert, and friend, William McGunn, as well as her mother-in-law, Renee Belt; sister-in-law, Danielle Champagne and her husband, Bryant, in addition to a host of cousins, friends, and extended family who will profoundly miss her presence.
Georgeann was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elmo and Velma Thibodeaux; her paternal grandparents; and her father-in-law, Austin Allen Richardson.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., followed by a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m., at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home; located at 1605 Avenue H, Nederland, Texas, 77627. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, located at 2006 Nall Street, Port Neches, Texas, 77651. Rite of Committal will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
Georgeann Arsenault Richardson will be remembered for her vivacious spirit, her unwavering love for her family and friends, and the joy she brought to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy will continue to inspire and resonate in the hearts of all she touched.
