Georgia Ann Dixon

Georgia Ann Dixon passed away September 23, 2022, at the age of 86, surrounded by family and friends. She was born September 15, 1936, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma to George Augusta Goodman and Gracie Faye Elliot. They lived in Osage, Oklahoma where she played on the high school basketball team. After high school, she moved to Cleveland, Tennessee to work for an airline.
Georgia married Kenneth Dixon on December 24,1955. They lived a military life moving to many states over the years. After retiring from the military in Cleveland, Oklahoma, she managed a medical home care business. She moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 2016. Georgia was an avid seamstress and quilter. She loved to knit and crochet whenever she had free time.
Georgia was preceded in death by her father George Goodman, mother Faye Carter, brother Earl Fletcher, two sisters Blanche Carter and Norma Gibbons, and son Greg Dixon. She is survived by her daughter Angie Wilhite and husband David of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, granddaughter Amber Lenora and husband Nino of Oklahoma City, granddaughter Rachel Lorton and husband Chris of Lubbock, Texas, and great-grandchildren Logan and Laney Lorton of Lubbock, Texas.
Her memorial service will be held at the Adams Blvd Church of Christ on Friday, October 21, 2022, at 2 pm. The place of internment will be in Cleveland, Oklahoma.
