Georgia G "Gigi" Joyce

Georgia "Gigi" (Stroup) Joyce&
Passed after a short fight with cancer on August 28, 2023. Born in 1948, she married James S. in 1968. They would have three children, James B., Brian, and Erin. She welcomed a daughter-in-law, Anica as well as grandchildren, Brooklyn and Delko. Her parents Clara "Lois" and George would have two older daughters, Karen and Janet, as well as younger twins, Marty and Marci.
An abundantly loving and patient wife and mother, Gigi fiercely protected the ones she loved and loved freely. She worked diligently to provide for her family, expecting the best of her children and grandchildren while creating an environment for them to succeed. Gigi doted on her grandchildren by taking them on trips across the country and countless hockey games. She enjoyed continuing her father's genealogy research and the Christmas ornament exchange with her extended family. She was warm, positive, and supportive, making time for tea or coffee with others. She helped build her house and absolutely turned it into a home for family and friends.
Visitation for Gigi begins Friday, September 1 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. followed by a life celebration 11 A.M. on Saturday, September 2 at Boron Funeral Home, Inc., 1719 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15210. Immediately following, she will be laid to rest at Queen of Heaven cemetery in Canonsburg, PA.
