Gerald F. Ehlert

Gerald F. Ehlert, age 85, of Adrian, MI, passed away, December 25, 2025, at Hospice of Lenawee. He was born April 17, 1940, in Adrian, MI, the son of Rudy & Katherine (Henninger) Ehlert. On June 4, 1960, he married Alice McCarley at the Church of Christ in Tecumseh, MI, she survives. Gerald was a graduate of Blissfield High School, Class of 1958. He retired from General Motors / Delphi Plant in Adrian in 2001. Gerald enjoyed spending time at his cottage in Manitou Beach. In addition to his wife Alice Ehlert, he is survived by two daughters, Pamela Jean (Timothy) Smith of Davidson, NC and Terri Leigh (Robert) Ross of Adrian; grandchildren, Danielle (Niko) Winguay, Jeffrey (Lisa) Smith, Raegan (Michael) Burner, Andrea (Zeke) Lutz and Jillian Smith; and eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudy & Katherine Ehlert; and two brothers, Lavern Ehlert and Leland Ehlert. Memorial Services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI.
