He was born on June 18, 1941, in Superior to Sigmund and Pearl Jacobson. Jake was a US Army veteran serving from 1958-62.
He was employed in sales and as a project manager for Diamond Drilling for many years.
Jake was a passionate Wisconsin sports fan, Badgers, Brewers, and the PACKERS. He attended many games over the years with friends and family. Jake enjoyed golfing, woodworking, riding ATV s, camping, and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty; his brothers, Butch and David Jacobson.
Survivors include his son, Mark (Annette) Jacobson; grandchildren, Heather (Amos) Holmes, Megan (Zach) Gurtner, Hailey Jacobson, and Ryan Oaing; great granddaughter, Gabby Holmes; sister, Janice (Dick) Christman; brother, Don (Kathy) Jacobson and special friend, Pat Fuller.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 3, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. in Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 St., Superior, WI. Feel free to wear your favorite Packer or Wisconsin attire.
Following the celebration, the family will gather at the Checkerboard Bar for food and refreshments in memory of Jake.

We learned of Jake's passing from mutual friends. We are sorry that we were not with you at his Celebration of Life. Jake and Betty were close friends many years ago. We drifted apart due to following our work but have always held them close in our hearts. Jake was fun to dance the Jitterbug with. He was the BEST! Betty was my best friend in High School. Our hearts go out to you at his loss. The guy with the ready smile and great laugh. He will always be remembered.
