Gerald "Jerry" Dwight Brown Sr passed away at his home in Riley Township on Monday, July 28, 2025 at the age of 83.

Gerald was born on July 10, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to Aaron and Margaret (nee Miller) Brown. He had a deep love for his country and before he had a chance to finish high school, he joined the United States Airforce in 1960 until 1966 when he finished his reserve duties. Gerald went back and received his high school diploma in 1982 from Lakeview High School in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. He worked as a precision machinist for Eagle Spline Gage, Inc and retired two months before his 66th birthday in May of 2008. On October, 15, 2005, he married Michele Daly (nee Doody) in Ray Township, Michigan and they shared many years making wonderful memories together. Gerald was extremely competitive and fulfilled the ultimate goal of a hole-in-one in golf and a 300 score in bowling. He was known all over St. Clair and Macomb Counties for his beautiful glass bird feeders he made. Gerald loved to sing and he would sing everywhere he went, no matter what he was doing. He was truly loved by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Michele; children, Denise (Roy) Jimenez Sr, Derek Brown, Dennis Brown, Damon Brown and Gerald (Jennifer) Brown Jr; grandchildren, Teresa (Kyle) Stone, Cody McKee, Roy (Alexis) Jimenez Jr, Lillian (Tyler See) Jimenez, Davina Jimenez, Ashley Henderson, Nick Henderson, Ashton (Paul) Davis, Jessica (Devin) Ritchie, Aaron (Jordan) Brown, Tyler Brown and Emma (Gavin Pudvay) Brown; great-granddaughter, Aryana, Kendra, Brinlee, Raquel, Isabella, Nova, ShaMya, LaNiah, Kinley, Ethan, Karson, Maddilynn, Raegan, Ellison, Beckett, Lincoln and Paisley-mae; sisters, Sharon Allen and Vicki (Rich) Vandevelde; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Gerald is preceded in death by his son, David Brown; brother, Dale Brown and parents.

A visitation for Gerald will be held Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tiffany-Young & Hauss Funeral Home, 73919 Fulton, Armada.
