Gerald "Jerry" Wayne Mason, age 73, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2025. He was born in Louisville, KY on February 8, 1952 to the late Marion and Dorothy (Friedley) Mason.

Jerry was a 1970 graduate of New Albany High School. After graduation he had many jobs but the proudest was to be the owner and operator of Cherry Valley Golf Course. During this time, he attended PGA School to become a Pro in his field. Teaching the game to young and old was something he enjoyed. Jerry helped start numerous golf programs most local schools including help start a girl's golf team at Scribner Junior High. If you needed Jerry, you could find him at Cherry Valley "Day light to dark, 7 days a week" in Jerry's famous words.
With all of his many accomplishments, the one he cherished the most, was his two children, Laurie and Gary.
