Gerald R Reigner passed away on December 17, 2024, at his residence with his family by his side. He was the son of the late Russell and Evelyn Reigner.
He was a graduate of Boyertown Area High School, where he was on the Football and Track teams. He was Co-Captain of the track team his Senior year. He enlisted in the United States Navy after graduation and served as a Machinist Mate 1st Class. He saw parts of the world and people that he would remember for the rest of his life. Upon discharge he was employed with the Pillsbury Co., East Greenville, as a production worker and for most of his career, a production line maintenance mechanic. His production lines had the highest efficiency of any production line in the Pillsbury company many times. He credited this to preventive maintenance.
In 1964 he married his wife, Patricia, and they moved to a home in New Hanover where they raised two children and made many fond memories. Upon retirement, he was part time employed with New Hanover Township at the wastewater treatment plant for several years.
He enjoyed gardening, caring for his lawn, riding his motorcycle to work and the Philadelphia sports teams, but spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren's events was most important to him. He loved being a Pop Pop.
When his wife had a stroke, he devoted his life to and cared for her until her death. Gerald leaves behind memories to be cherished by his children, Kevin and Karen, their spouses, grandchildren, a brother, sisters and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 10 a.m. till 11 a.m. at Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 40 Spring Mt Rd, Schwenksville, PA 19473. Gerald's funeral mass will begin promptly at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery.
Memorial donations can be made in Gerald's name to: Children's Hospital of Philadelphia or Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church.
