Gerald Rivera Sr., of Crane, TX passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the age of 72.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann; sister, Dorothy; grandmother, Adelina; and grandson, Eddie Rey.
Gerald was born in Tucumcari, NM on February 20, 1953. He served our country in the Vietnam War, via the US Navy, and retired from British Petroleum after a 30-year career. After retirement he returned to his passion as a mechanic.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Juanita; his children, Barbara and her husband Robert Carrasco, Lynda Salas and wife Liza Tarango, Gerald Rivera, Jr. and significant other Cristina Martinez, Adlina and husband Thomas Kinsey; grandchildren, Jacinda, John, Bree, Reina, Brandon, Sofia, Angelica, Bianca, Jesus, Elizabeth, Gabriel, Anna, and Joseph; and great grandchildren, Renley, Hazel, Selena, Cielito, Nick, Ember, Eli, Cayde, and Amaryllis.
Gerald was a loving husband and father, who instilled good work ethics in all of his children. He was always willing to give a helping hand to his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
