Geraldine “Jerri” May Timerson Konczal passed away peacefully, April 4, 2024, in the home she built with her husband in the middle of the 15,000 pine trees they planted on their property.
She was born November 8, 1940, in Wauwatosa Township, Milwaukee County, the daughter of Victor Josiah Timerson and Loretta May (Peters) Timerson Schwister. She was raised by her aunt and uncle Marion Jessi (Peters) Wendorf and Albert C. Wendorf. She married James John Konczal on June 25, 1960, at Blessed Sacrament Church in Milwaukee.
Jerri was a graduate of Pulaski High School in Milwaukee. She worked at Marshall & Ilsley Bank in downtown Milwaukee until she was married and expecting her first child. Then she became a homemaker. She loved to cook, bake, sew and knit. She loved flowers which her husband always planted for her enjoyment. She loved planting a large garden with her husband and canning vegetables. She loved playing games with her family and was very competitive when she played. She enjoyed taking walks with her family and her dogs, especially on their property. She loved all animals and always donated to animal care and protection causes.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband James Konczal in April11th, 2018. She is survived by her four children, Cheryl (Glenn) Stepniewski, Karen Giles, Kenneth (Cheryl) Konczal and James Konczal; 12 grandchildren Michael (Ashley) Stepniewski, Matthew (Brooke) Stepniewski, Megan (Austin) Anderson, Michelle Stepniewski, Brittney (Scott) Knight, Melissa (Andrew) Oxford, Jessica (Ryan) Johnson, Katelynn, Kristen, Kelli, Savana and Joshua Konczal; 10 great grandchildren Christopher, Katelynn and Benjamin Knight, Adalynn and Emersyn Oxford, Kali and Brynley Stepniewski, Rafael Dahl, Caden and Carsyn Johnson. She is survived by other relatives and friends.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wautoma with Rev. Kyle Sladek officiating. The burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Wautoma. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
