Geraldine "Bunny" McCormick LoVullo fell asleep in death on April 3, 2024, at Edgecombe Health and Rehabilitation Center, in Tarboro, NC. She was 93 years old. She was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband, Pete and their son, Victor.
She was born to James Delpha McCormick and Neva Raine Fields McCormick. Siblings include the late June Delores Flint, James "Bo" Muriel McCormick, Curtis Jesse McCormick, Kari Alice King, Charles Neal McCormick and Judy Ann Flint. She is survived by her brother Samuel Wayne McCormick, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bunny was born and raised in Tarboro, NC. She was taught the truth of God's Word from her parents and loved what she was learning. She loved God's Word so much that she was baptized in 1940 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses at the young age of nine. She began pioneering while in High School. Shortly after graduating from Tarboro High School, Bunny met Pete LoVullo. They got married on October 15, 1951, and made their home in New York City. Their only son, Joseph Victor, came along April 25, 1954. The LoVullo family was very close knit and focused on spiritual growth. As students of God's Word, they shared what they were learning with others. As a result, they assisted many to come to know the true God, Jehovah and dedicate their lives to him.
In the late 1960's, the LoVullo family moved back to Eastern NC and settled in Greenville. Both Pete and Bunny continued the preaching work here that they had began when in New York. Pete served as an elder in the Greenville congregation and Bunny spent many hours in the full-time preaching work.
Sadly, on June 13, 1992, Pete died and Bunny then returned to her hometown, Tarboro, NC. She joined her sister, Alice as pioneer partners in the full-time preaching work. Bunny set a fine example and was a good role model to emulate. She devoted many years of her life in deep study of the Bible and zealously shared those truths with others.
