Geraldine Marie MacMillan

Geraldine Marie MacMillan, 86, of Lake Forest, formerly of Northbrook, passed away on March 12, 2024, with her husband, William, by her side. Born in Waukegan, IL, on August 16, 1937, she was the daughter of Anthony and Rose Leonowitz. Geraldine is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, William; son, Thomas (Katherine Metz); grandsons, Alexander, Grant (Margaret Debrauske), and Drake; great-grandson, Lucian; and sister, Susan Adams.

Geri graduated from Barat College in Lake Forest with a degree in Economics. Together with her husband, she co-founded and managed a successful home replacement window business in Northbrook, IL, where they resided for 50 years. Geraldine had many passions including photography, learning to play the guitar, researching her extensive family tree, travel, reading, entertaining groups in her home and spending time with her family. She was a constant presence for her family, attending every game and recital, capturing precious moments with her camera, and cheering on her family and teammates. Geraldine took great pride in her Lithuanian heritage and made several trips to Lithuania, often accompanied by family members.

Funeral Services for Geri will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday March 23rd at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, where there will be a visitation from 9:30 AM until the time of service.
