Our beloved mother, grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Brian's House, age 86. Geraldine was born September 1, 1935, in Bay City, Michigan to the late Valentine E. and Mary F. (Musielak) Switala. She married Arthur C. Bukowski on February 9, 1958, and Art predeceased her on November 12, 2018. She was a former member of St. Vincent DePaul Church-St. Catherine of Siena Parish. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and often had a humorous side to go along with her easygoing personality. Geraldine loved her children and family; she was grateful for the time she could spend with them over the years.
Geraldine is survived by two children, Jan (David) Allsopp and Steve Bukowski, one grandson Calvin (Stephanie) McNamara, two sisters, Rose (George) Kubczak and Joan (Bob) Groch and one brother-in-law Lloyd Anderson. One sister Rita Anderson and one brother Valentine "Sonny" Switala predeceased Geraldine.
Per Geraldine's wish, cremation will take place. No visitation or services will be held at Squires Funeral Home. www.squiresfuneralhome.com
