Gertrude J. Marshall stepped into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. Gertrude was born on April 25, 1932 in Paden City, West Virginia. She was the oldest of seven children born to Herman and Hilda Watkins.
Gertrude, 'Trudy', as she was called by most all who knew her, loved the Lord deeply, and would say often, 'God has been so good to me', even when her memory was failing, she could still remember me words to the old hymns and quoted Scripture right along when someone was reading to her.
Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband, James Marshall, her parents, two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Kendall and Lenora (Larry) Buscham, two sons, John (Valenna) Marshall and Jim (Tiffany) Marshall, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters, Mary Rinderer and Brenda (Jack) Klein.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 1 at First Baptist Church in Louisville; 1910 Monter Avenue Louisville. Ohio. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 2:00 and the service at 2:00 with Pastor Ron Mayberry officiating.
