Gertrude Ninmer, 99, of New Holstein, formerly of Kiel, passed away May 2, 2025 at the Homestead nursing home. Gertrude was born December 4, 1925, in Sheboygan County, to the late Arthur and Lydia (Grunewald) Fink. On February 12, 1947, she married Orville E. Ninmer at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Howards Grove. He preceded her in death in April 23, 1999. Gertrude cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed tending to her flowers and garden, making quilts, crocheting and making doilies. Gertrude was an accomplished cook, baking fresh bread, canning pickles and tomato soup and making jams and jellies.
Survivors include her children, Gary L.(Lana) Ninmer, Kiel, Linda L. Jochimsen, Kiel and Daniel D. (Kelly) Ninmer, Elkhart Lake; her grandchildren, Carrie(Ty)Guell, Amy(Todd) Meyer, Todd Ninmer, Tracy(Dennis) Senkbeil, Steve Wollersheim and Jessica, Rachelle(Joe)Vanden Boom, Brittany Ninmer, Dylan Ninmer, Alex Ninmer and Christopher Ninmer; her great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Weber, Cameron Karstaedt, Jaxon Guell, Kyla and Kaiden Jochimsen, Coulton and Mason Meyer, Logan and Devyn Peter, Tye Wollersheim, Nicholas Lefeber, Bo and Braeden Senkbeil, Sofie Ninmer, Wade and Odin Vanden Boom, Zachary Ninmer, Michael Ninmer, Heather Freepartner, Amanda Simons; her great-great-grandchildren, Aidan, Kurtis, William and Aaron; her daughter-in-law, Gwen Ninmer and her sister, LuAnn Reinemann.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Orville, her daughter Donna Wollersheim, sons, David and Michael Ninmer and her son in laws Dale Wollersheim and Howard Jochimsen; her grandchildren, Stacy Lefeber and Keith Jochimsen, her great-grandson, Carter, her 14 siblings
In accordance with Gertrude's wishes, private family services were held.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Homestead Health Services and Calumet County Hospice.
