Gilbert Garza, beloved son, brother, and uncle, passed away on March 4, 2025, at the age of 54. He was born on September 9, 1970, in Carrizo Springs, Texas, to Gilbert Garza Sr. and Maria Guadalupe Flores. He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Garza Sr.
Gilbert is survived by his loving mother, Maria Guadalupe Flores Graza, and his devoted brother Orlando Garza Sr., along with his sister-in-law Beatrice Garza of New Braunfels. He was also a cherished uncle to his nephew, Orlando Guadalupe Garza Jr., and niece, Emmy Garza.
As a skilled barber, Gilbert was passionate about his craft and dedicated his life to perfecting his skills. His love for cutting hair was a reflection of his caring and attentive nature, always making sure his clients felt like family. Outside of his work, Gilbert was known for his vibrant personality and the joy he brought to his friends and family. He enjoyed spending time with loved ones, watching movies, and was a big fan of Halloween, a time when his creativity and love for fun shone brightest.
A devout Catholic, Gilbert's faith was a cornerstone of his life. His legacy will live on through the memories he leaves behind, his gentle spirit, and the love he so freely gave to others.
A Visitation will be held Monday, March 10, 2025 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, a Rosary will take place at 7:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial is set for 10:00 A.M, Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church., 408 Fort Clark Rd.
Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Gilbert will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
