Funeral Mass and Celebration of Life will be held later with interment at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Gilbert attended Mater Dei Catholic High School and the University of Evansville.
He worked for George Ryan Construction, Tri State Steel Erection, and JE Shekell Inc.
In order to honor Gilbert's memory, donations can be made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, 809 N. Lafayette Avenue, Evansville, Indiana 47711.
