He was born March 22, 1956 in Mission, Texas to the late Guadalupe Ramirez and Maria D. Celaya.
Gilbert was raised in Sydney, Texas and moved to Grand Prairie in 1973. He and his brothers established Ramirez Construction in 1974. He loved Tejano music and enjoyed watching old western movies.
An avid pet lover of cats and dogs, he especially loved Chihuahuas and most recently his beloved Cheech.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 11, 2025 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home, 500 E. Main Street, Grand Prairie, Texas 75050.
Service will be the following day, Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 10:00 am.
Burial will follow immediately at Southland Memorial Park.
Gilberto is survived by his siblings Juan Ramirez and his wife Ignacia, Francisco Ramirez and his wife Dalia, Janie Ramirez, Elena Garcia and her husband Santiago, Mary Ramirez and Lee Ramirez, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
