Gilda was a certified nurse's aide. St. Vincent's Hospital and private duty nursing were her workplaces before she retired. Her favorite television shows were Little House on the Prairie, the Waltons, the Andy Griffith Show and Golden Girls.
Gilda loved cooking for family and friends on the weekends. You could find her in the kitchen making meatballs, sausage and Pasta e Fagioli. You couldn't leave her house without eating. She loved dressing up and going dancing with her husband.
Gilda was predeceased by her husband Charles and her son Thomas and his wife Bernice and her She is survived by her sons, Louie (Pat) of Florida, and George of Newtown; 2 daughters, Charlotte Thompson of Newtown and Maria Barna (Gary) of Danbury; and several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Gilda was also predeceased by her siblings, Ugo Tucci, Albina Ltomare, John Tucci and Elvira Benedetto.
Friends may call at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St. Newtown Friday September 26, 2025 from 5:00 to 8:00pm. Interment be in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport, Saturday September 27th at 11:00 am
