Ginger Lee Jeffery

Ginger Lee Jeffery (nee McNeely) age 89 of Lorain, Ohio and formerly of Holden Beach, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026. She was born on January 14, 1937, in Logan County, West Virginia to parents Ernest and Stella (nee Browning) McNeely.

Ginger was married to the love of her life, Charles "Chuck" Jeffery on September 7, 1955. They had two children, Sandra and Chuck Jr. as well as her brother, Charlie McNeely, who she raised as her own. They all lived in Lorain, Ohio as Chuck Sr. worked at the Lorain steel mill. Ginger loved being a mother, taking care of the house and raising her children. Once her kids were all grown up, Ginger and Chuck flew South and lived in Holden Beach, North Carolina. Ginger always loved being by the water, growing up near Lake Erie. She was able to spend her time homing in her creative crafting skills. She was excellent at crocheting, cross stitching, and pottery. Ginger would try any crafting skill she could. She also loved country music and went to many country concerts in her life.

Ginger is survived by her cherished children Sandra Cuevas (Dan) of Elyria and Chuck Jr. (Julie) Jeffery of Georgia; dear brother who she raised as her own Charlie (Lois) McNeely of Lorain; beloved grandchildren Brooke (Ryan) Uehlein, Jennifer (Aaron) Gibbs, Dylan (Erin), Amanda and Ashley; niece and nephew Stacie (Luis) and Jason (Gee Gee); 3 great grandchildren; and many other nieces, nephews, family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Charles "Chuck" Jeffery her parents, Ernest and Stella McNeely.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Ginger's name to go to the Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org. The family would also like to extend their thanks to the wonderful folks at Cyprus Hospice and Brookdale Assisted Living for all the wonderful care they gave to Ginger.

Pallbearers for Ginger will be Ryan Uehlein, Aaron Gibbs, Dylan Jeffery, Luis Feliciano, Brayden Pilkenton, and Jason McNeely.

A visitation for Ginger will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 11 AM-12:30 PM at Busch Funeral Home 32000 Detroit Rd., Avon, Ohio 44011. A service led by celebrant Jim Longsworth will follow at 12:30. Ginger will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memory Gardens the same day at 2 PM. www.buschcares.com 440-937-6175
