Ginger King

Ginger (Henderson) King, of Sunbury, Ohio beloved daughter, sister, mom, Gigi and friend passed away peacefully in her sleep after a courageous battle with cancer on December 26, 2025, at the age of 57. She was surrounded by love and leaves behind memories that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Ginger was a hard worker her entire life, taking pride in whatever she did. She brought dedication, joy and heart to all she cared about. She believed in working hard but always knew how to have fun along the way-often dancing while checking out customers, making everyone around her smile.
She loved the simple pleasures of life. Growing vegetables brought her peace and watching football brought her excitement. She was a loyal Ohio State fan, and she wouldn't give up on the Browns.
Known as the life of the party, Ginger had a great sense of humor, a contagious laugh and a kind heart. She could light up a room and make people feel welcome just by being herself.
Above all else, her greatest joy was her family. She loved deeply and completely, especially her grandchildren, who meant the world to her. Her love, laughter, and spirit will live on through them and through all who were blessed to know her.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Ginger was preceded in death by her mother, Ellen Johnson and is survived by father, James (Deborah) Henderson, sisters Aleshia (Tom) Weisend, Amy (Ken) Wallace, Jodie Johnson, brothers Scott Henderson, Stacy Henderson, James (Janelle) Johnson, Jr., sons Daniel (Olivia) King, Justin King, granddaughters Sunny, Sophia and Emma King, and best friend and companion Tim King.
A celebration of life for Ginger will be held from 1:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Grizzlybird Brewing, 5901 Chandler Court, Suite B, Westerville, OH 43082.
