Ginger Painter

In the cherished memory of Ginger (Virginia) Painter, we remember a life well-lived. On Sunday, November 19, 2023, at the age of 87, she departed this world to be with the Lord in heaven.
Born on Febuary 27, 1936, in Grove City, to her late parents, Walter and Evelynn Shreffler, Ginger's life was a testament to love, family and faith.
Her life's chapters included graduating from Grove City High School and also from Kent State University. She was a Title One reading specialist at a public school in Pittsburgh, PA. However, the most profound chapter was her dedication to her beloved family. Ginger found comfort in her faith throughout her life. She attended Southwest Christian church in Ocala.
Her marriage to Edward Painter was a tale of devotion that spanned 67 years. As a mother, Ginger was the embodiment of love, raising one son, Douglas who resides in Florida. She also loved her sister Bonnie Ruth Hetrick of Grove City, Pennsylvania who went on to be with the Lord in 2006. Her surviving nieces Lori Gilmore of Meadville, PA. and Stephanie Smith of Stoneboro, PA. are the closest living relatives in her family.
Ginger found joy in her line dancing classes, Red Hat Society, Bridge games with her card club, bible studies, Christian Women's Fellowship, Southern Gospel music and playing her Organ.
Yet, above all, Ginger's most prized role was that of a devoted daughter, wife, and mother. Her love and care knew no limits, and her memory will forever be placed in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. She was the rock upon which her family found strength and had a spirit that welcomed all people.
PAINTER – A private gathering for Ginger (Virginia), who died Sunday, November 19, 2023, will be held at Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society in Ocala on November 29, 2023.

Ginger's memory, has impacted many lives of all she knew, leaving a trail of love, kindness and unconditional devotion. Her absence leaves a void in all she knew that can never be filled.
