Ginney L. Neff
Virginia Lee "Ginney" Neff peacefully passed into the loving arms of Jesus on November 15, 2025, following a brief illness.
Ginney was born on December 4, 1935, in Tulsa, OK to Hazel (Weever) and Wm. Claude Haney, Jr. She attended Monte Cassino and St Josephs Academy and graduated from Central High School in Tulsa at the youthful age of 16 in 1952. With a thirst for knowledge, Ginney continued her education at Oklahoma A&M and graduated in 1956.
She married the love of her life, Dale Harold Neff, on July 25, 1955, and together they cherished 65 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Ginney and Dale were blessed with a daughter, Kim Loraine, on July 6, 1959. Their home was always a haven of warmth, music, and love. Their adventures took them around the globe, with three years spent living in Belgium.
Ginney shared her many talents with others as a kindergarten teacher, church secretary, and teaching the art of tole painting. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bartlesville, OK, serving two terms as Deacon. Ginney was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and Alumni Association for over 62 years. She was also a member of P.E.O. and Questers.
Faith was the cornerstone of Ginney's life, guiding her through every joy and trial. She found beauty in her unwavering belief that God walked with her always. A lover of life's simple pleasures, she adored ice skating as a young girl, dancing, gardening, and sharing games and stories with friends and family, and cooking. Ginney and Dale were gracious hosts inviting friends into their home with open arms and delicious meals.
Ginney will forever be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit, unwavering faithfulness, and her quick wit. She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Ginney is survived by her daughter Kim Loraine (Neff) Bennett, son-in-law Michael Edward Bennett; grandchildren Jennifer Angela (Bennett) Knox and husband Jimmy, Gregory Dale Bennett and wife Chacey, great-grandchildren Jacob Len Knox, Jenna Alexis Knox, EmmaLea Loraine Bennett, and Austen Michael Bennett. She is also survived by her brother Ted Riesinger and wife Betty, nephews Scott Neff and wife Kaye, and Tracy Neff along with many other relatives and friends.
She is now reunited in the arms of her beloved husband Dale, their infant daughter Paula, and infant son Paul. She also joins her parents Hazel and O.K. Riesinger.
In honoring Ginney's life, let us find solace in the memories she has gifted us and take comfort in the knowledge that she now rests in eternal peace, embraced by the love and light of her faith. May she continue to dance in the arms of angels.
A celebration of life will be held at the First United Presbyterian Church of Guthrie, OK on Friday, November 21 at 10:30am.
Graveside services will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville, OK on Saturday November 22 at 1pm.
