Giuseppa Castelli

It is with deep sorrow that we share Giuseppa, "Giuseppina" (nee Cardiello-Piacentino), 83, of Paramus, passed away at home surrounded by her children and grandchildren on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. She was a parishioner of St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, River Edge, NJ. Giuseppina was born in Selvacava, Italy to the late Giuseppe Piacentino and Esperanza Cardiello. She came to the United States with her Husband and 3 small children in 1971, first residing in Jersey City and later moving to Ridgefield Park; in 2012 Giuseppina moved again, this time to Paramus, to be closer to her family. Her favorite past-time was her garden however her family was her entire world. She would move mountains for them, cooking, baby sitting, and helping in any way she could, and she did up until the end.
Beloved wife of the late Raffaele Castelli. Loving and devoted mother of Maria and her husband James Adamo, Giuseppe "Joe" and his wife Nancy Castelli, and Antonio and his wife Roxann Castelli. Cherished grandmother of James, Christina, Nicolas, Anthony, Giana, Marc, and great-grandmother of Stella. Predeceased by her brother, Domenico Cardiello-Piacentino.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday, April 6, from 3pm till 7pm at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 S. Farview Ave., Paramus, NJ. Funeral service from the funeral home on Monday, 9:30am then to St. Peter THe Apostle Church, River Edge for a 10am Mass of Christian Burial.
In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes can be made in Giuseppina's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Memphis Place, Memphis Tn.
