Publish in a newspaper
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2022 at St. John Paul II Catholic Mission in Gainesville, GA. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Born on August 29th, 1935 in Gasperina, Italy, Mr. Macrina was the son of the Giuseppe Pasquale Macrina and Maria Clerico Macrina. Mr. Macrina was a Police Officer in Roma, Italy for several years. After immigrating to the United States in 1963, he became a dedicated carpenter for over 40 years.
Mr. Macrina is survived by his wife, Caterina Macrina of Gainesville; son, Mario and Amy Macrina of Lawrenceville; son, Joseph and Karen Macrina of Johns Creek; sister, Carmelina Rizzotto; grandchildren, Caitlin Macrina and Joseph Macrina of Johns Creek; grandchildren, Lily Macrina, Molly Macrina, and Lucy Macrina of Lawrenceville, and a number of nieces and nephews residing in Italy.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the St. Jude Foundation, or the Hospice group at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA 30504 is in charge of arrangements.

We met Joe and Caterina in Naples~made it our favorite place to be! Every winter with them was filled with joy, laughter, hours of sharing and love! We think of Joe often, always will, sending love to the Macrina family XOXO
