Gladys Ann O'Clair Fieseler, age 92, moved to heaven on November 14, 2024 at Shorehaven in Oconomowoc, WI. Gladys was born in May 1932 on the family farm near Dickens, IA. She was a 1950 graduate of Emmetsburg, IA High School. Gladys and husband of 60 years, Marion Milton, moved to Oconomowoc in 2014 to be near family.
She is survived by son, Brian (Margo) Fieseler of Oconomowoc, WI, granddaughter Rebecca (James) Hansen, great grandson Barrett Hansen and granddaughter Victoria Fieseler and great grandson, Blain Fieseler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Hazel O'Clair, 5 siblings, Edna Halstead, Alice Mortenson, Glen O'Clair, Lee O'Clair, all of Emmetsburg, IA, Lila Helmke of Ruthven, IA and her husband, Marion.
She was born during the Great Depression Generation. As such, she was no stranger to hard work as her parent's family farm was lost and a new start was required. She told of collecting milkweed pods as a child for military life vests to be made during the war. She was a wonderful Mom and homemaker, amazing cook, seamstress and voracious reader. She played music by ear. She managed the family household and family janitorial business. She always had time for visits from the grandkids and grand dogs. In her spare time, she loved to tend to her garden. She was also a great angler and loved to fish, even from the dock at Shorehaven at age 92!
The family would like to thank Sioux Valley Hospital/Sanford Health of Sioux Falls, SD, as well as Shorehaven's Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care staff, Agrace Hospice staff and Dr. Liu of Aurora Summit locally for their expert care and kindness.
Memorials may be given to Margo Fieseler Ministries Inc. (MFM) or Agrace Hospice.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 Friday, December 6, 2024 at Shorehaven Chapel, 1305 W. Wisconsin Ave., Oconomowoc, WI with food and fellowship to follow.
