Glen McNeil Obituary

Visit the Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. website to view the full obituary.

Glen Frederick McNeil, age 91, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 17, 2025. He passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones. A beloved husband, father of three, and grandfather to many, Glen was known for his unwavering work ethic, dedication tohis family, and witty sense of humor.

Glen’s life was marked by many notable characteristics. He thrived as an intelligent businessman in the insurance industry, working his way up to one day owning his own insurance agency. He invested much time in his children, bringing all three sons into the business alongside him. When he wasn’t working to provide for his family, Glen and his wife and sons spent the warmer seasons boat racing and the winters skiing. As he aged, his love for his family never faltered, and he and Patricia spent many holidays spoiling grandchildren and even two young great-grandchildren.

Glen was preceded in death by many cherished family members and friends. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Frances McNeil, his three sons Ron McNeil and wife Diana McNeil; Donald McNeil and wife Jill McNeil; and Craig McNeil; and several grandchildren as well as two greatgrandchildren, all of whom he loved dearly.

A celebration of life will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, August 24, at 4pm at Lowe Funeral Home in Burlington, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Glen’s honor be made to the Humane Society of Alamance County at www.hsaconline.org/donate.html.
