Mr. Glen Edward Roberts was born in Warden, Louisiana on December 29, 1933 to the late Edna McVoy Roberts and LC Roberts. Mr. Roberts passed away peacefully on April 14, 2025 at the Oxford Glen Memory Care in Owasso, Oklahoma. Along with his parents Mr. Roberts is preceded in death by his wife, Judy White Roberts; his son, Glen Edward Roberts, Jr.; sister, Carrie Roberts Hodges; and four brothers, Robert Roberts, Lennox Roberts, Jimmy Roberts, Jesse Roberts, and Neal Roberts.
Glen attended New Friendship Baptist Church in Bastrop, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and a retired welder. He enjoyed both hunting and fishing. Glen was a talented musician. He enjoyed listening to all types of music and especially loved entertaining and sharing his musical talents with family, friends, and the residents of numerous nursing homes in the area.
Mr. Roberts is survived by his daughters, Donna Robbins and her husband Dennis of Skiatook, Oklahoma, and Traci Gross and her husband Keith of Bastrop, Louisiana; four grandchildren, Kelsey Oliphant and her husband Jeremy, Sam Robbins and his wife Hope, Christian Gross, and Emilee Gross; nine great-grandchildren Blake Oliphant, Hanna Oliphant, Lillah Oliphant, Cord Oliphant, Carolinah Oliphant, Jude Oliphant, Gentry Robbins, Tennessee Robbins, and Anderson Robbins. He is also survived by a brother Danny Roberts; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM Monday, April 21, 2025 at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop followed by graveside funeral services with military honors at 11:00 AM Monday, April 21st, at the Pine Grove Cemetery South. Services will be officiated by Bro. Casey Johnson and under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop.
Serving as Mr. Robert's pallbearers are Keith Gross, Christian Gross, Jeremy Oliphant, Blake Oliphant, Cord Oliphant, and Sam Robbins. Honorary pallbearers will be Jude Oliphant, Anderson Robbins, and Ricky Gross.
