Glenda Culton Clark was born in Leona, Texas, on March 16, 1952, to proud and loving parents, Georgia and Uben Culton Sr. She was affectionately called “Junnie” by family and friends.

At an early age, she accepted Christ, and attended Hillary chapel United Methodist Church in Leona, Texas. She attended Leona and Washington Perkins Elementary schools, later graduating from Frederick Douglass High School in Centerville, Texas, in 1969. She then attended Prairie View A&M University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1975. She was employed as a teacher in the Centerville Independent School District for thirty-three years, and retired in May 2011.

Glenda united in holy matrimony with Leroy Clark, and they were blessed with a son, Marcus Darnell Keith Clark.

Glenda was preceded in death by both of her parents, Georgia and Ubens Culton; two infant brothers who were stillborn in the 1940’s; brothers, Gary “Spanky” Culton and Paul Moore; and twin sisters, Dorothy and Aretta Culton.

The memories of her life are honored and cherished by son, Marcus Clark; daughter-in-law, Pasqualina Langford; sister, Henrietta Culton (Joan); brother, Ubens Culton Jr. (Gay); granddaughters, Asia Clark and Tyra Clark; grandson, Damien Neroes and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A homegoing service celebrating Glenda's life will be held 12 noon, Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. A brief visitation will take place prior to the service from 11 A.M. to service time at the funeral home. Glenda will be laid to rest in Culton Cemetery, Leona, Texas.  Pastor Otis Clark, of Macedonia Baptist Church, Millican, Texas, will give the eulogy.

Arrangements are entrusted to Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
