In Loving Memory of Jerry Gay Jones Clark

With love, honor, and deep respect, we remember our beloved mother, Jerry Gay Jones Clark, who passed away peacefully on Monday, September 15, 2025, at the age of 86. A lifelong Atlanta native, Jerry's life was a testament to resilience, grace, and unwavering dedication to family.

Born and raised in Atlanta, Jerry began her early years working side-by-side with her parents and brother at the legendary Ann's Restaurants, a cherished staple of the city in the 1940s and '50s. She carried that same spirit of hard work and charisma into her school years at Brown High School, where she was class president, cheerleader, and Homecoming Queen-roles she embraced with heart and pride.

Later, Jerry's life centered on raising her five sons, guiding each one through college and life with fierce love and quiet strength. She returned to the classroom herself, earning a Bachelor's degree in Art and Psychology from Georgia State University at the age of 60, proving that it's never too late to chase knowledge and personal growth.

She is survived by her brother, four sons, ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward her wisdom, warmth, and unshakable belief in the power of family.

Her legacy lives in the lives she shaped, the values she passed on, and the love she gave freely and fully. We hold her in the highest esteem-for the life she led, the lessons she taught, and the strength she instilled in us. She will forever be missed.
