Born in New Madrid, Missouri on June 3rd, 1936 to the late George Henry Baker and Inez Brashier Baker. After graduating high school and living in several states, Glenda landed in Tennessee. She worked at Shaw Industries and Wagner before moving to Andros Island, Bahamas to work on a Navy base. She later moved back to Tullahoma to be close to family where she took a job with Intreped Home Health Care until retirement.
In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Halmontaller; brothers, Paul Baker, Albert Baker, and Charles Baker; sister, Carol Litchford. In addition to family, she is survived by her dear friend Fran Edmonds. They became friends at nine years old while school girls in Hanson, Idaho and they still spoke every day. The family would also like to thank Joyce Loudermilk for her 30+ year friendship and hairdressing skills to keep Glenda looking her best. She loved her friends very much.
Her family would like to thank Vanderbilt Tullahoma-Harton Hospital, whose doctors and nurses took such wonderful care of her. They would also like to thank Compassus for making Glenda's transition a gentle, caring, and loving experience. Lastly, they would like to thank Dr. Carr and his staff at Tennessee Oncology.
