Mrs. Glenda Laverne Porter, age 70, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at her residence in Forest, MS. Her visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, from 10:30 AM until 11:45 AM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Her services will take place at 12:00 PM in our Funeral Home Chapel. Her burial will follow at Leesburg Baptist Cemetery in Pelahatchie, MS. Bro. Larry Duncan will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.
Mrs. Porter was born to Cecil Parker and Martha Howell on August 20, 1953, in Morton, MS. She was a lifelong resident of Scott County, MS. Mrs. Porter absolutely loved her grandchildren.
Mrs. Porter was preceded in death by her husband, James Russell Porter; her daughter, Stacey Graham; her grandson, Corey Porter; her four brothers, Rufus, James, Clyde and Roy Parker; her four sisters, Idell Parker, Lois Stewart, Annie Parker and Mary Lee Brooks. She is survived by her daughter, Vickey Wilkerson (Michael) of Forest, MS; her two sisters, Shirley Smith of Forest, MS and Joyce Dupree of Taylorsville, MS; her three grandchildren, Shannon Wilkerson, Collin Wilkerson and Christopher Graham; her three great grandchildren, Colton Wilkerson, Dawson Rowell and Corey Graham.
