Glenda Tanner Obituary
Mrs. Glenda Jane Tanner, age 82 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Milan General Hospital. Visitation will be Sunday, January 19, 2025, from 2PM - 3PM, with a Memorial service beginning at 3PM in the chapel of Salem United Methodist Church.
Jane was born August 23, 1942, in Rutherford, TN; the daughter of the late Ben & Lois (Wilson) Hopper. She retired from the Gibson County Health Dept. as a WIC clerk and was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three children, Greg Tanner, Ginger Whitworth, Jimmy Tanner; seven grandchildren, Tanner Harrison, Lindsey Harrison, Jessica Tanner, Jacob Tanner, James Tanner, Isabella Tanner, Cole Whitworth; and five great-grandchildren, Ava Tanner, Vincent Tanner, Gentry Erwin, Duncan Erwin, and JJ Tanner. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Tanner; parents, Ben (Lois) Hopper; and brother, Benny Douglas Hopper.
