Glendean Carlisle Mazingo

Funeral Services for Glendean Carlisle Mazingo, 76, of the Pleasant Hill Community will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. from the Chapel of Bumpers Funeral Home with Rev. Johnathon Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Glendean Carlisle Mazingo passed away on November 13, 2025, at Arabella Health and Rehab. Born on January 6, 1949, in Butler to Oscar Carlisle and Annie Ruth Evans Carlisle, she graduated from Southern Choctaw High School. She married her beloved Bob Mazingo and together they built a family. As a devoted wife and mother to her two sons, she cherished spending time with them-whether it was playing in the yard, enjoying trips to the beach, teaching Sunday School, or ensuring a warm meal was always ready at home. Glendean took great pride in helping to raise her grandchildren, continuing these traditions by taking them on adventures in the woods or fishing with a simple cane pole. A talented cook, she found immense joy in preparing meals for her family. As a member of the Honeysuckle Garden Club, her love for flowers shone through in her beautiful garden. Known for her independence, kindness, and sense of humor, she often surprised those around her with her witty remarks. Her family and community held her in great affection. Glendean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be profoundly missed.

She is survived by her son, Shawne Mazingo (Teresa) of Panama City, Florida; son, Lee Mazingo (Sara Jo) of Gilbertown; sisters, Glovene Stafford and Sadie Carlisle of Gilbertown; four grandchildren, Candace Mazingo, Brooke Mazingo (Colby), Paige Vucicevic (Evan), and Brianna Crane (Tristan); ten great-grandchildren, Journey Stokes, Kadence Hendley, Evelyn Troutman, Zackary Hendley, Robert Landon Hendley, Gracelynn Vucicevic, John-Asher Vucicevic, Taylor Mazingo, Kierstyn Chappell, and Ainsleigh Mazingo; and a host of other family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Mazingo; father, Oscar Carlisle; mother, Annie Ruth Evans Carlisle; brother, Thomas Carlisle; and sisters, Lois Cox and Martha Mosley.

Pallbearers include Adrian Mazingo, Brentton Mazingo, Nicholas Chapman, Marshall Copeland, James Cox, and Tommy Mazingo.

Honorary Pallbearers include Kadence Hendley, Colby Case, and Tristan Crane.
