Funeral Services for Linda Diane Koen Lucas, 70, of Carthage, Mississippi will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Millry with Rev. Mike Raspberry officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. A private burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Gilbertown.

Linda Lucas passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at her home, with her loving daughter by her side. Born on August 29, 1955, in Chatom to Jesse James Koen and Ruth Ann Sanderson Koen, she took great pride in being a homemaker. A passionate Alabama football fan, Linda found joy in spending quality time with her family, particularly her grandchildren. Her loss leaves a profound emptiness, as she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She is survived by her daughter, Holly Elizabeth Haager (James); three granddaughters, Valarie Brooke Colquitt (Grant), Autumn Diane Colquitt (Logan), and Brittany Lucas; two great-grandsons, Hutch Barnes and Hudson Barnes; brothers, Harold Koen and James Michael Koen (Jane); and sisters, Wanda Jean Sheffield and Cheryl Evans.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Leo Sanderson; husband, Phillip Edward Lucas; son, Lancer Edward Chad Lucas; father, Jesse James Koen; mother, Ruth Ann Sanderson Koen; and sister, Patricia Sims.

Pallbearers include Nick Sims, Kelley Sims, Chase Sims, Kevin Sims, and Dallas Sims.
