Glenn Edward Hickingbottom, 58, was called home by his Heavenly Father on Saturday April 19, 2025, following a long battle with cancer.

Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Edward Louis and Reva Joyce Welch Hickingbottom, Glenn was a 1984 graduate of Sam Houston High School and attended McNeese State University. He served his country for eight years in the United States Army, retiring due to injuries in the line of duty in November of 1992 as Infantryman Sargeant.

Glenn was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed reading and spending time with his family. His greatest joy, however, was found in the time he shared with his children and beloved grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Reva Sargent; his children, Brady Hickingbottom and fiancé Ashlyn of Westlake, Courtney LeBlanc of Moss Bluff, Mason Minervini and wife Madison of Lake Charles, Jordan Minervini and wife Heidi of Westlake, and Steven Minervini and wife Taylor of Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Ryder O'Neal, Demi O'Neal, Harper Minervini, Max Minervini, and Juliette Hickingbottom; and two brothers, Stoney Hickingbottom and wife Jodie of Vidor, Texas and Carl Hickingbottom and wife Kaylan of Moss Bluff.

Glenn was preceded in death by his father, Edward Louis Hickingbottom, his stepfather, Lloyd George Sargent, Sr., and his brother, Timothy Hickingbottom.

A celebration of Glenn's life will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday April 25, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Reverend Josh Thomas will officiate and Eulogy will be given by Harry Pierre Fontenot Jr. Interment will be at 11:00a.m. on Friday at Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Jennings, Louisiana. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at the funeral home and will resume on Friday at 8:30a.m.
