Glenn Jewell Obituary
He was born August 19, 1946 in Spencer County, Kentucky, son of Elva and Carrie Ashby Jewell.
Glenn served his community for 24 years as a firefighter for the City of Louisville. After retirement, he was a trainer at the City of Louisville Fire Academy. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, a graduate of Taylorsville High School and earned a Fire Science degree from UK.
In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by his wife, Vickie Jewell; and siblings.
He is survived by his sons, Colby (Julie) and Jason Jewell; grandchildren, Hannah and Noah Jewell; stepchildren, Amy Nicholas (John) and Daren and Kayla Nelson; and step grandchildren, Lillly White and Daisy and Jacob Nicholas.
Burial with military honors is 2pm Monday, January 5, 2026 at Highland Memory Gardens, Mt. Washington, Kentucky. Memorial visitation is 10am-1:30pm Monday, January 5, 2026 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY.
