Glenn Teasley Patterson, 73, of Boiling Springs, SC, passed away on Saturday, June 21st, 2025. Born on December 22nd, 1951, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the beloved son of the late Charlton Boyd Patterson, Sr and Sarah Teasley Patterson.

His wife, Lydia Chastain Patterson predeceased him. He is survived by his daughters Kathryn June Patterson and Lauren Elizabeth Patterson. He is also survived by his brother Charlton Boyd Patterson, Jr., many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Upon graduating from Spartanburg High School in 1970 and Wofford College in May 1974, Glenn worked for Spartan Mills for over 30 years. He ended his working career at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center and retired from there in 2020. During his life Glenn was a member of the singing groups The Real Life Singers and Harmony Grits with his youth group at Bethel Methodist, he was the manager of the 1970 Championship winning Wofford football team, a member of Spartanburg Lion’s Club, served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher in his church, and held various other positions in his community.

Glenn was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hike and fly fish, amongst many other outdoor activities. Everyone that knew Glenn found him to be a devoted Christian that would greet you with compassion. His faithful and dedicated personality allowed him to be a great husband, father, friend, and mentor. His faith in his Savior Christ Jesus was the key to his heart.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at J. M. Dunbar Funeral Home, 690 Southport Road, Roebuck, SC 29376.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to The Wofford Fund. Please designate the donation to the Area of Greatest Need which will allow Wofford College to use the funds to make an immediate impact.
