Service for Glenn Donald Richardson, 79, of Glen Rose, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Monday, January 8, 2024 at Calvary Baptist Church in Cleburne. Entombment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park (Mausoleum) in Fort Worth, with Jeremy Lopez, Justin Ottmer, Jerry Borja, Jacob Lopez, Kirk Kelso, Derek Saxon, and Justin Carrell serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00 P.M., Sunday, January 7, 2024, at the funeral home.
Glenn passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023 in Arlington. He was born March 25, 1944 in Abilene to William Noah and Roxie Viola (Hester) Richardson. He married Patsy Huffman on June 1, 1970, in Mansfield. Glenn proudly served his country as a United States Marine. He was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church, where he served as the youth minister for many years. He was a rodeo sponsor for Cleburne High School. Glenn enjoyed supporting and mentoring young adults both in school and in church. He loved going hunting, fishing, and a good game of golf. Glenn was a family man. He loved and supported his family in everything they did. He led by example and enjoyed sharing his testimony with others to try and help them. Glenn will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patsy Richardson; daughter, Donna Ottmer and husband, Jerry Lopez; son, Tommy Richardson and wife, Katrina; grandchildren, Justin Ottmer and wife Shannon, Jeremy Lopez and wife Kate, Jessica Borja and husband, Jerry, Jenna Lopez and fiancé, Derek Saxon, Brittany Kelso and husband, Kirk, Brittany Croft, T.J. Richardson and wife, Tristan; great-grandchildren, Kiara, Jacie, Brooklyn, Jacob, Jordyn, Addison, Olivia, Zander, Emery, Paisley, Reagan, Jack, Jackson, Julian, Mason, and Caroline; sister, Shirley Benson and husband, Cary; aunt, Rose Crawford; daughter-in-law, Jana Ottmer Holvek; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Glenn Donald Richardson, Jr., Robert Ottmer, Jr.; grandson, Jase Ottmer; brothers, Wayne Richardson, Jesse Scott; and sister, Wilma Hankins.
