Funeral services for Thomas Burton "Tommy" Webb will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2025, at The Heights with the Rev. Billy Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Cleburne Memorial Cemetery.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday August 14, 2025, at Rosser Funeral Home.
Tommy Webb, 77, a lifelong Cleburne resident, passed away Friday, August 8, 2025. He was born on December 9, 1947, to Julia Mae (Anderson) and Clyde Burton Webb.
Tommy graduated from Cleburne High School where he played football and baseball, and showed animals in 4-H and FFA. He attended Tarleton where he earned a bachelors and master's degree in vocational agriculture science education.
Tommy married Dianne Plummer on June 28, 1969, in Cedar Hill, Texas. He began teaching Ag in 1972 and taught at CHS for 30 years before his retirement. In 2014, a call from Walnut Springs, took Tommy back to the classroom before retiring again in 2023.
Throughout the years, Tommy taught many successful students and changed many lives. He taught values and morals, and he taught his students how to make their dreams come true. During his time in Cleburne, he helped bring Jerry Clowers, Tom T. Hall, and Mel Till for FFA fundraisers.
Tommy also lobbied for ag education in the state of Texas. He served on the board of Johnson County Farm Bureau, Johnson County Livestock Association, Johnson County Utility District, Fort Worth Stock Show Dairy Supervisor, State Fair of Texas Lamb Supervisor, and Livestock Show Judge and Leadership. Tommy served, taught, and helped in all aspects of FFA.
Tommy was a member of the Agriculture Teachers Association of Texas Hall of Fame. He also served his country in the United States Army and was a member of Field Street Baptist Church.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dianne Webb; sons, Troy Webb and wife, Deborah, and Kenneth Webb and wife, Tiffany, all of Cleburne; grandchildren, Dalton Webb, Hailey Webb, Alexandra Beasley, Elizabeth Webb, Hannah Webb, Anzley Webb, and Caleb Webb; great granddaughter, Maricella Cerda; and many other family members and friends.
